What the role is

The F&B Venue Manager is in charge of the day to day management and results of the F&B Venue, including, delivering the F&B strategy, Revenue Generation, Cost Control, People Development & Quality Control, daily cash reconciliation ,the operational execution of events. and ultimately leading the F&B operation to profit.

Venue Profitability:

  • Manage social media and marketing tools to promote the venue and events according to brand guidelines
  • Ensure the Social Media team have knowledge of all F&B activations through the calender year, supporting the creation of content and delivery of Social media engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure The F&B Venue has a minimum of 6 weeks social media content programmed at all times.
  • Seek and manage partnerships with brands that enhance the venue and Selina brand
  • Work with the destination team to curate and execute Events & Experiences that drive Revenue and ULCM profit.
  • Manage the venue’s P&L

Venue Operation:

  • Recruit the staff needed on time.
  • Ensure onboarding & training schedule for all venue staff.
  • Ensure high level customer service is given by all venue staff.
  • Planning work schedules for teams at a wage cost of no more than the target % of forecast sales
  • Ensure all required industry and company protocols are being followed.
  • Conduct Daily Standup with staff
  • Manage procurement for the venue ensuring cost of food and beverage consumption does not exceed the established target
  • Manage all maintenance protocols (preventive and repairs)
  • Keep prices updated in all venue platforms to ensure an optimal cost of sale across the menu sales mix
  • Ensure cleanliness of the venue at all times and compliance with required industry and company protocols
  • Manage the venue’s softwares.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and licensing laws
  • Greet customers and support on handling customer complaints and queries
  • Manage sending the invoices to accounting department
  • Management of contractors and supplier relationships and contract deliverables
  • Ensuring security is effective;
  • Complete all reports and analysis requested
  • Ensure the venue follows all brand guidelines

Venue Events:

  • Curate & Execute a schedule of events for the venue with the destination team
  • Accountable for the successful operational execution of events.
  • Support DJ’s & artists scheduled for the location.
  • Produce special events according to Events strategy
  • In charge of Selina sound visual equipment maintenance & operation.
  • Decorate venue with concepts approved
  • Deliver events on time, within budget
  • Fully Bilingual (English and local language)
  • Strong organization and time management skills (to manage schedules, budgets, etc)
  • Previous management or department head experience
