About the role

We’re looking for a full-time Integration Engineer who will help develop, configure, implement, and support integrations between Third Way Health’s technology platform and third party systems (e.g., EHRs, eligibility / authorization services, provider registries). You will help define and advance data engineering practices and integration patterns across Salesforce, data integration platforms, and other cloud-based services. You will help shape our engineering culture and uphold our values to Act as One Team, Own the Outcome, Default to Open, Learn Through Feedback, and See the Whole Person. 

Primary Job Duties

Own the technical onboarding of new data sources and services, analyzing the capabilities of source systems (e.g., electronic health records, practice management systems) and third-party services (e.g., eligibility verification, programmable messaging) against our requirements and proposing a technical integration plan 

Leverage cloud-based service providers (e.g., AWS) and internal systems of record (e.g., Salesforce Health Cloud) to implement production-caliber pipelines for data processing, synchronization, and monitoring 

Contribute to the development of data integrity checks and integration auto-recovery modules, powered by advanced analytics and machine learning

Develop test plans and support testing during the life cycle of a integration, planning for new releases to ensure that products and interfaces work as expected

Coordinate any changes to our integrations that impact day-to-day operations, working alongside our implementation team, patient care team, and our technology partners to anticipate and mitigate issues 

Monitoring the interoperability environment for interface related issues and assist in diagnosing integration issues

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Strong understanding of healthcare data, reporting, and interoperability standards preferred, specifically HL7 (v2 and FHIR), HEDIS, and CAHPS

Prior experience with Rhapsody or a similar interface engine is preferred

Thorough understanding of API-based and SFTP connectivity patterns

Prior experience with at least one certified EHR/EMR preferred
